Marie Casper has worked for Discover Lodging Management, Inc. for 12 years, recently as President and co-owner. Ms. Casper is responsible for the overall operations and development of all properties within Discover Lodging Management's portfolio. Ms. Casper brings over 20 years of hospitality experience to Discover Lodging Management, Inc. Prior to her employment with Discover Lodging Management, Inc. she served as Director of Sales, General Manager, and Regional Manager with 6 different franchised properties and 2 independent properties. Ms. Casper holds a BS degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from North Dakota State University.

Jeremy Nelson directly supervises 7 properties with 3 different franchise affiliations in the Discover Lodging Management, Inc. portfolio. Mr. Nelson has worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. Prior to Mr. Nelson's current position he worked as General Manager of a limited service property within Discover Lodging Management's portfolio. Mr. Nelson has an extensive technological background and provides technology support services to all Discover Lodging Management, Inc. properties. Mr. Nelson received his BS degree in Business Management from Moorhead State University.

Kris Friederichs

Kris Friederichs has been part of the hotel industry for over 23 years. Ms. Friederichs has a wide variety of experience in the industry, serving as Guest Service Manager, Reservations Manager, Hotel General Manager, as well as Chief Operating Officer for Select Franchising, Inc., a hotel franchise company. Ms. Friederichs directly supervises 7 hotels with 4 different franchise affiliations within the Discover Lodging Management, Inc. portfolio. Her aggressive marketing, cost control, and hotel renovation experience, provides all Discover Lodging Management, Inc. properties with superior support and guidance. Ms. Friederichs attended Moorhead Technical College where she studied marketing management.

Sara Piekarski

Sara Piekarski has worked in the hospitality industry for over 17 years.  Her path started in restaurant and convention hospitality and evolved to hotel marketing and managing.  Prior to her employment with Discover Lodging Management, Inc. she served as Assistant Manager, Event Coordinator, Director of Sales and General Manager.  Ms. Piekarski earned the prestigious General Manager of the Year award from AmericInn International while serving as General Manger of the AmericInn Lodge & Suites of Fergus Falls, MN.  She has extensive marketing, revenue management and social media knowledge and background.  Ms. Piekarski is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to General Managers and Sales Managers in developing and executing marking plans to ensure optimum revenue performance of each hotel within the Discover Lodging Management portfolio. Ms. Piekarski currently serves as co-President of the Fergus Falls Jaycees, is a board member of the Fergus Falls Area College Foundation and is a board member of the Fergus Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Ms. Piekarski holds a BA degree in Communications from the University of North Dakota.

Krysta Erovick, CPA

Krysta Erovick is responsible for all financial and accounting operations provided by Discover Lodging Management. Ms. Erovick has over 12 years of professional experience with an emphasis in tax and internal control. Ms. Erovick received her BS degree from North Dakota State University in 2000 and her CPA License in 2003. She is a member of the Minneapolis St Paul Chapter of Hotel Finance and Technical Professionals and currently serves as the Vice President.  In the past she has served on the board of directors for the Women's Business Exchange and the East Cass County Thrivent Chapter and was also on the steering committee for the 35 Under 35 Women's Leadership program.

Nicholas Klaers

Director and founder, Mr. Klaers has over 20 years of diversified experience in the hospitality industry. Mr. Klaers serves as a resource to all Discover Lodging Management's properties and staff. He has developed proven systems of budgeting, marketing, cost control, policies and procedures.

Mr. Klaers is also the President of Klaers Corporation, Inc., a property development company. Mr. Klaers is a shareholder in 7 hotels, which are managed by Discover Lodging Management, Inc.

Sandra Keller

Sandra Keller is responsible for supervising accounts payable and payroll.  Ms. Keller has 5 years experience in public accounting and 2 years experience in retail management accounting.  She is also a volunteer treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 274.  Ms. Keller received her Bachelor of Accountancy degree from University North Dakota in 1992 

Barb Nilles

Barb Nilles is responsible for a wide variety of office management duties, including bookkeeping, data entry, accounts payable, and payroll.  Ms. Nilles has 4 years of experience in office management.  Ms. Nilles has a BS in Humanities and Social Sciences from NDSU and an Associates Degree for Executive Assistant with a legal emphasis from Aakers Business College.

Mary Warner is responsible for an array of Discover Lodging Management’s office operations including receptionist, payroll, accounts payable, data entry and bookkeeping. Ms. Warner has over 4 years of bookkeeping and office management experience.  She earned an Accounting Associates degree from Aakers Business College.
