Marie Casper, CHA - President


Marie Casper is the President and Owner of Discover Lodging Management, Inc. Ms. Casper is responsible for the overall operations and development of all properties within Discover Lodging Management's portfolio. Ms. Casper brings over 20 years of hospitality experience to Discover Lodging Management, Inc. Prior to her employment with Discover Lodging Management, Inc. she served as Director of Sales, General Manager, and Regional Manager with 6 different franchised properties and 2 independent properties. Ms. Casper holds a BS degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from North Dakota State University.


Jeremy Nelson - District Director


Jeremy Nelson directly supervises 7 properties including two different franchise affiliations in the Discover Lodging Management, Inc. portfolio. Mr. Nelson has worked in the hospitality industry since 1995. Prior to Mr. Nelson's current position, he worked as General Manager of a limited service property within Discover Lodging Management's portfolio. Mr. Nelson has an extensive technological background and provides technology support services to all Discover Lodging Management, Inc. properties. Mr. Nelson received his BS degree in Business Management from Moorhead State University.


Kris Rich - District Director


Kris Rich has been part of the hotel industry for over 20 years. Mrs. Rich has a wide variety of experience in the industry, serving as Guest Service Manager, Reservations Manager, Hotel General Manager, as well as Chief Operating Officer for Select Franchising, Inc., a hotel franchise company. Mrs. Rich directly supervises 7 hotels with 4 different franchise affiliations within the Discover Lodging Management, Inc. portfolio. Her aggressive marketing, cost control, and hotel renovation experience, provides all Discover Lodging Management, Inc. properties with superior support and guidance. Mrs. Rich attended Moorhead Technical College where she studied marketing management.


Justin Schreiber - District Director



Justin Schreiber started his career in the hospitality industry as Director of Sales at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson.  He transitioned to General Manager of a select service hotel and then took on the role of General Manager for two properties simultaneously. Mr. Schreiber's expertise is in sales and digital marketing.  Mr. Schreiber received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota-Crookston. 

Jay Schreiber - District Director


Jay Schreiber has worked in the hospitality industry since 2007.  He directly supervises four hotel properties and one restaurant/bar. Prior to his current position with Discover Lodging, Mr. Schreiber was a general manager where he received a social media award from AmericInn International in 2010 and was named the General Manager of the year for Discover Lodging Management in 2011. His area of expertise is in technology and has been an integral part of streamlining our accounting/operating systems. Recently he was involved in the opening of two brand new properties as well as an addition and remodel to another property.  Mr. Schreiber received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota Crookston in Business Management.

Sara Buechler, CRME - Director of Revenue Management


Sara Buechler has worked with Discover Lodging Management since 2001. Ms. Buechler earned the prestigious General Manager of the Year award from AmericInn International while serving as General Manager of the AmericInn Lodge & Suites of Fergus Falls, MN. She has extensive marketing, revenue management and social media knowledge and background. Ms. Buechler is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to General Managers and Sales Managers in developing and executing sales and marketing plans to ensure optimum revenue performance of each hotel within the Discover Lodging Management portfolio. She also oversees revenue management of hotels in conjunction with the property manager.  Ms. Buechler holds a BA degree in Communications from the University of North Dakota.



Orson Opheim - VP of Finance


Mr. Opheim is responsible for the accounting, finance and cash management of the hospitality portfolio and Discover Lodging corporate. Orson has over 20 years of accounting experience with 11+ years of public accounting experience with a variety of clients and industries and recently 6+ years of accounting, financial reporting and tax experience within the hospitality industry.  Orson has also served in executive and financial leadership roles of non-profit organizations. Orson graduated from Valley City State University with a BS degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Management. 

Wanda Roesler - Senior Accountant


Wanda Roesler is responsible for overseeing all accounting aspects for Discover Lodging and its properties. Wanda has worked in the hospitality industry for 14 years in the Accounting Department before joining Discover Lodging in 2018.  Wanda graduated from Moorhead State University with a BA degree in Accounting. 


Cathe Eberhardt - Human Resources/Office Manager

Ms. Eberhardt has worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. She has held roles such as Front Office Manager and Reservations Manager, but the majority of her experience was as a Property Accountant and Human Resources Manager.  Ms. Eberhardt holds a BS degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from North Dakota State University.

Jenae Bellefeuille - Accounting Assistant


Jenae Bellefeuille has worked in the hospitality industry since 2013. She started working for Discover Lodging Management in the housekeeping department at Fargo Inn & Suites in January 2013 and was also assistant supervisor starting in 2015. She left housekeeping and started working in the accounting department for Discover Lodging Management in early 2016. Her main responsibilities include data entry for all properties overseen by Discover Lodging Management, assisting in sales tax data collecting, various types of report/information collection, and bad debt managment. She is currently looking into schooling to advance her skills and background in accounting.

Don Baugh - Bench Manager


Don Baugh has been in hospitality for over 20 years in a variety of roles.  He serves as bench manager to cover vacancies in manager positions at our properties. His role is to provide leadership continuity in the instances of staff vacancies, long-term leave of absences or vacations.   

Laurie Bonn - Treasury Accountant

Laurie joined Discover Lodging Management in 2018 on a part time basis and is responsible for reconciliations of all property bank accounts. She has experience in the banking industry and over 25 years of experience in various roles of the accounting area of the hospitality industry.  Laurie graduated from Moorhead State University with a BS degree in Accounting.
