Marie Casper serves as President of Discover Lodging Management, where she provides executive oversight for all operations and development across the company’s hotel portfolio. She leads strategic direction, drives sustainable growth, and ensures operational excellence while maintaining high standards for guest service and asset performance. Marie works closely with ownership groups to ensure their goals are fully integrated into strategic planning and operational execution.

Marie began her career with the company in 1998 as a General Manager and later advanced to District Manager. In 2008, she acquired the company from founder Nick Klaers. Under her leadership, she helped grow the company’s portfolio from 3 hotels to 22, expanding both branded and independent assets across multiple markets. Her expertise includes franchise management, independent hotel and restaurant development, and multi-unit performance optimization. Marie brings extensive brand knowledge and hands-on experience across major hotel systems, including Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Choice Hotels, Marriott International, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Best Western Hotels & Resorts. She currently serves on the Franchise Advisory Board for AmericInn by Wyndham.

Marie holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from North Dakota State University and is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).

Jeremy Nelson serves as District Director, supervising a portfolio of franchised and independent hotels within Discover Lodging Management. He provides leadership oversight, operational guidance, and technology support to ensure consistency and performance across his properties.

Jeremy has been in the hospitality industry since 1995 and has served as a hotel general manager. He brings strong technological expertise and operational insight, supporting property teams with systems, reporting, and performance tools.

Jeremy holds a BS in Business Management from Moorhead State University.

Kris Rich serves as District Director for Discover Lodging Management where she oversees hotels across multiple franchise affiliations.

While attending Moorhead Technical College in 1990, Kris began her hospitality career. She held leadership positions including Franchise Reservations Manager, Hotel General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. She joined Discover Lodging as District Director in 2008.

In her role, she provides strong operational leadership including budgeting and cost-control guidance, coordinating the procurement of FF&E for hotel renovations along with the execution of Property Improvement Plans (PIP).

Her hands-on approach to training, support and development, combined with a result-driven leadership style, has consistently elevated profitability and strengthened guest satisfaction across every property under her management.

Jay Schreiber serves as District Director overseeing multiple hotel properties and a restaurant/bar within the Discover Lodging portfolio. He drives operational consistency, system improvement, and technology integration.

Jay has worked in hospitality since 2007 and previously served as a general manager, earning industry recognition and awards. He joined Discover Lodging as a District Director in 2015, where he was involved with property openings, remodels, and system streamlining initiatives. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Minnesota Crookston.

Tony joined the Discover Lodging family in 2021 as a General Manager and transitioned into his current role in 2022.

Tony has hands-on experience across all hotel functions and has held leadership roles with Holiday Inn, AmericInn and Country Inn brands where he earned community, leadership and industry recognition and awards. His expertise includes operations training, staff development, and community engagement.

He studied Hotel Restaurant Management at Alexandria Technical & Community College.

Chris Urban serves as Corporate Director of Revenue Management for Discover Lodging Management, leading revenue strategy, marketing, and sales alignment across the company’s hotel portfolio. He partners closely with the corporate team, ownership groups, and property leadership teams to drive top-line growth, improve market share performance, and maximize long-term asset value through disciplined, data-driven decision making.

With over 20 years of hospitality experience, Chris has held leadership roles in property operations, franchise performance, and multi-property revenue oversight. Prior to joining Discover Lodging Management, he served as Director of Franchise Operations with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Chris specializes in revenue optimization, competitive positioning, distribution strategy, operations, and performance improvement - combining analytics with hands-on operational experience to deliver measurable results and protect owner investments.

Patti McRoberts serves as Onboarding Specialist for Discover Lodging Management, supporting the successful integration of newly acquired and newly managed hotel properties into the company’s portfolio. In her role, she facilitates smooth operational transitions, aligns new teams with corporate standards, and ensures clear communication between ownership groups, property leadership, and corporate departments.

Patti brings extensive hospitality leadership experience, including multiple years serving as a hotel General Manager where she oversaw daily operations, guest experience, financial performance, and team development. Her property-level expertise provides valuable insight into operational processes, brand standards, and team onboarding during ownership or management transitions. Patti specializes in transition management, operational alignment, staff training support, and establishing consistency across newly onboarded properties.

She studied at the University of Kentucky, further strengthening her foundation in leadership and business operations.
